Nithya Raman, the Democratic Socialist city councilmember often called “the next Mamdani,” is the current favorite to win the Los Angeles mayor’s race. Betting markets like Kalshi, Polymarket, and PredictIt give her around 55% implied odds right now, ahead of incumbent Karen Bass and Spencer Pratt.
The primary is June 2 so nothing is locked in yet, but she’s surged in the last few weeks and many forecasters now see her as the frontrunner.
