Mamdani turns bus speech into Egypt vs Argentina soccer rant

Mamdani said Egypt was robbed against Argentina, in the middle of a public transit speech.

Mamdani was promoting “Next Stop: Fast Buses, Better Service,” his plan to speed up NY buses and give working-class commuters more time back.

He said faster buses could save riders 24 hours within 6 months and more than two full days a year, meaning more time for family, Little League games, and getting home for bedtime.

Then he added that it also means having time to agree with your friends that Egypt were robbed yesterday.

A NY bus plan somehow turned into Argentina vs. Egypt discourse.
