Korean Firms and Global Big Tech Forge $950 Billion in CooperationThe Presidential Office said on the 25th that Korean companies and global big tech firms have agreed to pursue semiconductor cooperation totaling $950 billion, or approximately 1,375 trillion won, on the occasion of the “San Francisco AI Summit” attended by President Lee Jae-myung. They also agreed to pursue cooperation on AI data center investments involving 2 million GPUs.
Kim Yong-beom, head of the Presidential Office’s policy planning, held a briefing at the local press center in San Francisco that day and unveiled major cooperation achievements in the fields of semiconductors, AI data centers and physical AI. SK will pursue long-term supply cooperation for advanced memory semiconductors worth $750 billion (1,085 trillion won) with global big tech firms including Nvidia over the next five years. SK Telecom will pursue the construction and expansion of an AI data center of up to 2 gigawatts with Nvidia.
