The folks in Washington want you to believe inflation came from the sky. Maybe a tanker stuck in a canal. Maybe Putin’s tanks. Maybe hens decided to lay less because they caught a cold. They’ll hand you a different excuse depending on what day it is or which network you’re tuned into. But every now and then someone breaks through the fog and just tells it straight.
Enter Rep. Thomas Massie. A guy who doesn’t waste breath, doesn’t play the TV game, and certainly doesn’t dance around the obvious. He said what the Fed won’t admit, what the White House spins away from, what Wall Street tiptoes around like it’s a live grenade.
