I had to try it for myself!
Tik Tok is now censoring even mentioning Epstein in a DM! Why would Larry Ellison be so worried about someone even speaking his name? pic.twitter.com/RAAWB2Z1Nj— Knoxie (@KnoxieLuv) January 26, 2026
TikTok’s U.S. operations were sold into a new joint venture in January 2026 to avoid a U.S. ban. The ownership breakdown is:
Oracle – 15%
Silver Lake – 15%
MGX (Abu Dhabi AI firm) – 15%
ByteDance (China) – ~20%
Other U.S. investors (including Dell family office) hold the remainder.
This means over 60% of TikTok’s U.S. joint venture is owned by U.S. and allied investors, not China.
