It’s not a good thing that housing, education, and healthcare are sold at inflated prices. Comparing mortgage rates and healthcare costs to income in the U.S. in the past and doing the same comparison with other countries today, shows a troubling trend. Financial services are often pointless, like insurance for overpriced homes or cars or expensive investment funds.
There’s little that actually brings happiness to consumers, and most things are just necessities. No surprise U.S. citizens feel unhappy.
