This is the reason why everyone is so confused all of the time. For years we’ve been getting clickbait garbage to try to get our money, while politicians flood the zone with info, and now with the wider adoption of AI, most people will stop at the AI overview which will mostly give affirmative responses to whatever the individual wants to know. We allowed this to happen. It was our laziness, apathy, and hubris. We have killed the internet.

so basically what the post shows, although dead internet theory focuses more on bot activity and the fact that something like 50% of all activity on the internet is bots.
