Supreme Court rule unanimous in US v. Hemani.

They side with Texas man Ali Hemani (occasional marijuana user).

Court say federal law that ban “unlawful drug users” from owning guns cannot apply to him because it go against Second Amendment.

Law still exist but government cannot automatically disarm people who use marijuana few times a week without more proof they are dangerous.

Justice Gorsuch write opinion: no historical tradition for such broad ban.

Ruling is narrow, does not strike whole law. Still ok to ban addicts, people high at moment, or proven dangerous cases.

Case important because marijuana legal in many states but still illegal federally. Hunter Biden was convicted under same law before pardon.
