GRANITE CITY, Ill. – An armed suspect shot an officer Friday afternoon in Granite City.
Sources tell FOX 2 the officer was with the Granite City Police Department. The officer was taken to a St. Louis-area hospital with undisclosed injuries.
“We did speak to [the officer] upon arrival at the hospital, and we are hopeful for a full recovery,” said Col. Gary Brooks with the Granite City Police Department on the wounded officer.
