The Fullerton Police confirmed the devastating outcome: one person is dead, and several others have been injured. The crash triggered a 4-alarm fire, prompting a swift response from firefighters and police. The plane, a home-built Van’s Aircraft RV-10, crashed into the roof of a commercial building on Raymer Avenue, east of the airport.

The impact created a massive hole in the roof, sparking a fire that spread quickly. Emergency crews worked tirelessly to evacuate the building and treat the injured. Nine individuals were rushed to local hospitals, with six others receiving treatment on-site. The exact number of people on board the plane remains unknown.

This isn’t the first such incident near Fullerton Airport. Just months ago, a small plane crashed into a tree during an attempted landing, leaving two injured. The proximity of the airport to residential neighborhoods and major highways raises significant concerns about aviation safety in the area, particularly given the recurrence of these incidents.
