Over 180,000 ovens recalled due to burn hazard—here’s what to know

Affected Models: Over 180,100 Frigidaire, Frigidaire Gallery, and Frigidaire Professional Gas Ranges with specific model numbers (e.g., FCFG3083AS, FCRG3083AS) and serial numbers VF52200000–VF54399999.

Safety Risk: Delayed ignition of the oven’s bake burner has caused 30 burn injuries and 62 reports of malfunction. The cooktop burners are not affected.

Action Required: Consumers should stop using the oven immediately and contact Electrolux Group for a free repair. Check the model and serial number on the nameplate under the oven drawer.

Over 180,000 Frigidaire Gas Ranges have been recalled nationwide and in Canada due to a burn hazard.
So far, there have been 30 reports of burn injuries resulting from this issue.
Consumers with the affected ranges are instructed to contact Electrolux Group for a free repair.

According to the recall announcement, there have been 62 reports of delayed ignition of the oven’s bake burner, including 30 reports of burn injuries. The faulty ranges were sold in the United States and Canada at Lowe’s, The Home Depot, and other retail stores, as well as online at Frigidaire.com, between June 2025 and January 2026. The affected ranges were priced between $630 and $2,700.
