A HORRIFIC shooting at Kentucky State University has left the campus on lockdown and a suspect in police custody.
Multiple people were injured during the shooting, which occurred on Tuesday afternoon, as numerous ambulances were reported rushing to the scene.
Law enforcement responded to the “active aggressor” on the Frankfort campus, about 55 miles east of Louisville.
The suspect is in custody; however, the school remains on lockdown until further notice, according to police.
“We are aware of a reported shooting at Kentucky State University in Frankfort,” Governor Andy Beshear said.
“At this time, we are aware of some injuries. We will share more information as available.
