This development has prompted calls from viewers for similar investigations into daycare facilities in Columbus. ABC 6 On Your Side Investigates is now examining the allocation of public funds to these centers in the Columbus area and more.
With a drive through northeast Columbus, ABC6 Investigates identified several daycare facilities, including a series of centers located in the same strip mall. One center was seen to have a U-Haul key drop-off at its front door. While no wrongdoing is currently suggested, ABC6 Investigates sent out several public records requests this week to Franklin County and State of Ohio regarding public funds, overpayments, and potential fraud within daycare centers.
