To believe in a global soft landing requires a mind to have “recency bias”, “confirmation bias”, “optimism bias” and “normalcy bias” knobs cranked up to 11.
The backdrop right now is war: bad and getting worse, global financial system (banks and plumbing) with problems poised to burst, and a global economy on the verge of mass layoffs that will cause the “plunge into deeply negative GDP growth” stage to begin. This reality is being totally ignore in most minds courtesy of those wonderful logical fallacies, confirmation biases and defense mechanisms. Because they Feels Good!
