DOGE quietly slashes $3.5 billion in federal contracts

DOGE IS QUIETLY DEFUNDING $3.5B IN WASTE, ONE RIDICULOUS CONTRACT AT A TIME

DOGE dropped a silent nuke:

43 contracts terminated or descoped, ceiling value $3.5B, hard savings $222\\m, and the crown jewels are pure comedy gold:

– $4.3M Treasury contract to “develop a comprehensive strategic narrative and management approach aimed at the Human Centered Transformation and Enhanced Partnerships.”
– $29M Commerce consulting gig for “providing the necessary staff to perform Program Management, providing planning, analysis, and support in managing projects.”

Literally, taxpayer cash for bureaucrats to write fanfiction about how great bureaucracy and $29M to hire people who hire people to watch people manage projects.

This is happening right now, under the radar, while cable news obsesses over culture-war clickbait.

DOGE is just draining the swamp one bloated contract at a time.

$222M saved in 5 days is more than most agencies save in a decade. And they’re only getting started.

DOGE ended 108 “wasteful” contracts, including one for an “executive leadership retreat,” as part of its war on government waste. Even after the central office shuttered, DOGE teams inside agencies kept working.
