An explanation as to why China’s concrete structures are failing at an alarming rate.

The story they tell is that they are using sea sand to make the concrete, which is salty. The salt corrodes the rebar. the rebar expands as it corrodes. This expansion then busts up the concrete.

Bridges, buildings, etc are just collapsing.
