A major financial outlet will close thousands of branches in a 24-hour shutdown

BANK of America has confirmed that it will close all of its branches for a 24-hour period, forcing customers to change their plans as the the day quickly approaches.

Customers looking to make changes or seek assistance with their bank accounts at physical branch locations before the Martin Luther King holiday might be out of luck.

The major bank has confirmed it will shut down all 3,600 brick-and-mortar branches completely on the national holiday

Falling on January 19 this year, Bank of America will close all of its locations across the United States, per a holiday schedule released by the financial services company.

It’s important to note that the closure is not an uncommon occurrence or specific to the major bank.

Martin Luther King Day is a federal holiday, meaning many US banks are shut down, which means clients won’t be able to turn to other options, including Wells Fargo or Citibank.
