When common sense has to be legislated, we are in big trouble. Seems to be a lot of trouble in Washington.

Tomorrow morning, I will be filing a special rule in the House of Representatives to call a discharge petition (a special mechanism that allows legislation to be brought to the floor by collecting signatures from Members of Congress directly). This effort will force a vote on legislation to END the corrupt and blatant insider trading that far too many in Congress, on both sides of the aisle, have engaged in.

I realize this will make me very unpopular with some of my colleagues, but I don’t care. It’s what the American people want and it’s also the right thing to do, which is why it’s supported by
