Two children, their mother and three police officers are among nine people injured after a “corrosive substance” was thrown in Clapham in south London.

Sky News has obtained footage of a suspect who appears to be a man getting into a white car and attempting to drive towards another person.

Police say the suspect, whom was described as a “dangerous individual”, remains at large after he fled the scene on foot moments after driving into a stationary car.

Witnesses have told how neighbours chased the suspect down the street after trying to help the mother and her two children.

A shopkeeper who often saw the chemical attack suspect Abdul Shokoor Ezedi – who was granted asylum in either 2021 or 2022, despite having committed a sexual offence in 2018 – has said Ezedi was “laughing and joking” the day before.
