Time for a massive Stock Market crash soon?

by mark000

Chart shows S&P 500 along with its 100 month moving average. If the next crash takes it as far below the 100MMA as during the 2008 bear market we are looking it going under 2000. Will be very “interesting times” if that happens. How will the economy and financial system fare in such a scenario?

People who don’t think it is going below the 100 MMA soon believe that “this time is different”.

Current global issues:

  • US Stock markets 17 months and counting since hit AllTimeHigh.
  • Three major US banks and one European have recently failed
  • US Leading Indicators (The Conference Board) super gloomy
  • US 2y UST has been HIGHER than the 10y since last July. This breaks banks.
  • Commercial real estate outlook is atrocious
  • Yen and Yuan very weak, bad sign for global trade looking forward
  • Geopolitical situation is ominous, being utterly ignored even on this subreddit
  • China economy much weaker right now than was forecast to be
  • Fed is doing QT which is tightening the screws opposite of QE
  • Treasury about to sell $1 Trillion of new bonds within 10 weeks
  • Eurozone suddenly declared to be in recession
  • Freedom Caucus about to cause shit

Could probably come up with 20 more………..
