The backlash against AI training is growing

All of the AI companies are freely training their models off of people’s intellectual property, in many cases with data they illegally used.

The head of the copyright office tried to push back against this saying that stealing people’s art and writing in order to train AI is not fair use, and she was immediately fired:

Now many companies are also getting access to government data to train AI on without any steps to create a partition between that data and their AI products for private use.
