Thailand’s former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra is sent to prison

Thailand’s former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra has been sent to jail, ordered by a court, Tuesday, to serve a one-year sentence for previous convictions on charges of graft and abuse of power.
