An active shooter opened fire at Fort Stewart army base in Georgia. Several people were shot.

The base went into full lockdown at 11:04 a.m. Law enforcement rushed in.
The shooting happened inside the 2nd Armored Brigade area.

This is one of the largest army bases in the eastern U.S. Soldiers live here with their families.
They train for war zones overseas but got shot on home soil.
The military gets over $900 billion a year but cannot keep its own bases safe.
This comes after shootings at Fort Hood and Camp Lejeune. It is a pattern. Not bad luck.
Families are still trapped inside. Soldiers are still waiting.
Fort Stewart became the scene of something no drill ever prepared them for.
