Shocked by deaths during aid delivery in Gaza, says India

Indian govt Friday said it’s deeply shocked by the loss of lives in northern Gaza on Feb 29 during delivery of humanitarian assistance, calling the situation in the war-torn region a matter of extreme concern. More than 100 people were reported killed on Thursday after a very large crowd, desperately seeking relief, gathered around an aid convoy.

While condemning terrorism unequivocally and repeatedly, India has also on many occasions expressed concern over the mounting deaths of civilians in Israeli military strikes in Gaza and also backed a UNGA resolution seeking humanitarian ceasefire.
