Rand Paul says an EO was never enough and he already filed a constitutional amendment. Rep. Andy Ogles introduced the “Anchors Away Act” to block pregnant foreigners from entering to give birth here.

Rand Paul says executive order was never enough to fix birthright citizenship permanently.

He already filed a constitutional amendment earlier this year to change it.

Rep. Andy Ogles introduced the “Anchors Away Act.”

The bill aims to block certain pregnant foreigners from entering the US to give birth.

Goal is to stop birth tourism and anchor baby loophole.

These moves come after SCOTUS struck down Trump’s EO and upheld broad citizenship rule.

EO route was always weak and temporary. Amendment or strong law is needed for lasting change.

Ogles bill targets the entry point (pregnant foreigners) which is easier than full amendment.

Success depends on Republican unity in Congress. Past bills like SAVE Act show it is not guaranteed.
