Julian Assange recently reached a plea deal with the U.S. Justice Department, allowing him to go free after spending five years in a British prison. As part of this deal, he pleaded guilty to one espionage charge in a federal United States court. Interestingly, the court hearing took place in Saipan, a remote Northern Mariana Islands territory in the Pacific Ocean.

U.S. authorities confirmed that Assange’s plea deal includes The complimentary flight home on a Boeing airplane. The U.S. Department of Justice will cover the cost of his flight back home
