Pfizer To Lay Off Hundreds As Covid Revenue Falls

GLADSTONE, NJ —Massive layoffs will soon be underway as Pfizer will be cutting nearly 800 people from its Gladstone location in the coming new year.

Pfizer will lay off 791 employees on Feb. 12, 2024, from its Somerset County corporate office, according to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification(WARN) Notice shared by the New Jersey Department of Labor.

This announcement follows the company’s plans to cut $3.5 billion after COVID-19 revenues fell, according to fiercepharma.com.

Pfizer did not immediately respond to Patch’s request for comment.

Pfizer’s Peapack Corporate office is located at 100 Route 206.
