This comes directly from a manifesto drawn from CEO Alex Karp’s 2025 book The Technological Republic (co-written with Nicholas W. Zamiska). It argues that the engineering elite and society at large have a moral obligation to share the burdens of national defense, rather than relying solely on volunteers.
