Israel’s military campaign against Iran has entered its second week, and the tempo is not slowing. On Day 8 of the conflict, the Israeli Defense Forces announced they had targeted and destroyed three Iranian missile launch platforms that were reportedly being readied for launch. According to the IDF, the platforms were located inside Iranian territory and were part of an imminent strike operation aimed at Israeli cities.
In the same operation, Israel claims to have eliminated a senior Iranian military commander who was overseeing the launch preparations. The identity of the commander has not been officially released, but the strike is being described by Israeli officials as a “preemptive neutralization” of an active threat.
