The Oasis homecoming shows in Manchester have turned into a spectacle beyond the stage. Tickets were priced so high that many longtime fans in the band’s own city couldn’t afford to attend. Some took matters into their own hands. Over the weekend, at least 50 people attempted to breach the perimeter fences at Heaton Park. One group brought a ladder. Others tried rushing internal gates. Police arrested 15 individuals across both nights. Charges included fraud, assault, and disorderly conduct. Five drones were seized for violating the restricted airspace zone.
Security held the line. No one made it inside without a ticket. But the sound carried. Hundreds gathered on a nearby hill, now nicknamed “Gallagher Hill,” where the music was loud and the screens were visible. Fans sang along from the grass, watching from a distance what they couldn’t afford up close.

The Oasis Live ’25 tour continues with three more shows in Manchester before heading to London and abroad. But the tension between nostalgia and access is already part of the story. For many in Manchester, the ladder was cheaper than the ticket.
