Pfizer launches TrumpRx program offering up to 85% discount on medicines
NEW YORK – Pfizer Inc. (NYSE:PFE) launched a new program on TrumpRx aimed at reducing prescription drug costs for Americans, according to a press release statement issued by the company on February 5. The pharmaceutical giant, with a market capitalization of $150.6 billion and currently trading near its 52-week high, appears undervalued according to InvestingPro analysis.
The program provides discounts on more than 30 medicines spanning women’s health, migraine, arthritis, rare disease and other conditions. Uninsured or insured patients who choose to pay outside of insurance can access savings ranging up to 85%, with an average discount of 50% for most Pfizer primary care treatments and select specialty brands.
This initiative is part of Pfizer’s Most Favored Nation agreement with the U.S. government, which the company described as a landmark deal to lower prescription drug prices while maintaining pharmaceutical innovation in America.
