For many people, it’s still the American dream to become a homeowner one day. Except many people who don’t own a home right now have no clue how expensive it actually is to own and maintain a home beyond your monthly mortgage payment. And I’d be willing to bet if everybody knew the full truth of what they were getting into and just how expensive it is a lot less people would aspire to become a homeowner and we continue to pay far less money in rent and invest the difference.
