Knife violence is out of control in Birmingham, UK.

The city, which is home to one of the largest migrant populations in the UK, has seen a total of 154 stabbing incidents over the past few months, with some postcodes seeing up to ten attacks each.

According to statistics provided by the ambulance service, paramedics attend to around 10 stabbing victims every week in Birmingham. Most of the incidents were classed as “category 2,” which means the victims were seriously hurt. Nine were classed as immediate and life-threatening.

A centre run by anti-knife crime campaigners is due to be refurbished by volunteers.

It was contacted by warehouse company Prologis which offered to send dozens of staff to carry out the work as part of the firm’s commitment to help local communities.
