LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A sudden and severe windstorm swept through the Las Vegas Valley, causing significant power outages affecting thousands of residents.
As of 7 p.m. on Tuesday, approximately 272 outages were reported, impacting 20,485 customers, according to NV Energy.
The outages were primarily caused by severe winds, with gusts reaching up to 70 miles per hour in some areas, surpassing initial forecasts.
