This will affect you even is you don’t travel.
A lot of cargo goes by plane as well. Obviously a lot has to be cut now.
The alternative is ships, but even shipping is fucked up at the moment with the Red Sea a no go area for most carriers, meaning they have to sail around Africa, tying up shipping capacity, increasing transit times, and dramatically increasing freight costs.
And now the fuel for those ships costs a lot more as well plus they need to burn more of it to detour past the Red Sea.
So ya it’s the perfect storm.
