IRANIAN FM: “We are NOT READY to end the war yet.”

Mojtaba Khamenei’s first statement as Iran’s Supreme Leader

In his first remarks after becoming Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei said the Strait of Hormuz “must remain closed” to pressure the United States during the ongoing conflict

The statement was read on state television, with Khamenei not appearing on camera. He also warned that US military bases in the region could be targeted if they remain operational

Khamenei vowed to avenge those killed in the war and said Iran would seek compensation from its enemies, warning Tehran could target their assets if demands are not met

Earlier, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian outlined three conditions to end the war: recognition of Iran’s rights, payment of reparations, and guarantees against future attacks
