RAN CURRENTLY IS HOLDING OVER 1000 VESSELS, HALF OF WHICH ARE OIL TANKERS, HOSTAGE IN HORMUZ

There are around 1,060 vessels currently in the Middle East Gulf, according to maritime data provider AXSMarine.

Based on AIS-derived live data, product and crude tankers together account for more than half of all vessels in the area, “highlighting the heavy exposure of global petroleum flows to the current disruption”, the company said.
