Big fire start around 2:35 pm at Lineage Logistics cold storage warehouse in Boyle Heights (1400 S Los Palos St), Los Angeles.
Building very big, almost 500,000 square feet. Fire begin on roof and burn many solar panels, make thick black smoke visible for miles.
Firefighters first try fight on roof but ammonia gas leak inside cause small explosions. They move to defensive position, use helicopters drop water.
Shelter-in-place order for nearby people because toxic smoke. No injuries. Smoke affect air and even some flights at LAX.
Cause still under investigation. Same place had smaller solar fire in 2024.
