This is a MUST WATCH video recorded eye witness account of a man from Burnsville NC observing the creek next his property rising to 30 feet high and eventually washing away his self-constructed home and glass art tent…as well as an amazing walk bridge he constructed high above the creek. This is 19:43 of the rawest flooding footage you will see from last week’s catastrophic NC flood event. He bravely, if not naively, films the rising water right from the edge of the water flow, then gets stuck on the opposite of his bridge from his home. He makes his way to his neighbor’s down the road and they endure the rising floodwaters together, and have to literally bust a hole from inside the neighbor’s garage through the roof to escape the flooding- and then they ride out the remaining event from the rooftop. Afterward he makes his way back dowm the destroyed road to find the results of the flooding on his property. The final minute or two of his video puts the entire thing in perspective.
This is an incredible, intense video account of just how powerful and massive the NC/TN mountain floods were. It should be pinned.
