  • The U.S. House of Representatives voted to repeal a Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) rule that aimed to cap overdraft fees at $5 or limit them to the actual costs incurred by banks.
  • The vote passed narrowly, 217-211, along partisan lines, with Republicans supporting the repeal and Democrats opposing it.
