Heavy storms, possible flash flooding headed to SoCal for Christmas

LOS ANGELES (KABC) — An atmospheric river is arriving in Southern California for Christmas, bringing heavy rain with the possibility of flash flooding and a drop in temperatures.

The very large atmospheric river — nicknamed the “Pineapple Express” since it’s coming from Hawaii — is set to arrive on Tuesday afternoon, with rain picking up Tuesday night into Wednesday.
