Grocery pain exploding, recession odds crash to new lows

Beef hits record highs, no quick fix on horizon…

Iran chaos joins bad weather, food supplies take heavy hit…

Voters line up ready to punish empty promises, full carts…

Hate to say it but this one’s gonna sting come election time…

“More midterm pain may be headed Trump’s way, this time through America’s grocery aisles.

After months of rising gas prices, economists are now warning that food inflation could become the next major political nightmare for the White House heading into November.

Bad weather, drought, tariffs, shrinking cattle herds, crop failures, potential El Niño disruptions, and of course, the Iran war are all adding pressure.

Beef prices already hit record highs in April as America’s cattle herd fell to its lowest level in 75 years.

Tomato prices surged after storms wrecked Florida crops while tariffs reduced Mexican imports.

And drought conditions are now spreading across major wheat and corn regions, raising fears of even more price spikes into 2027.

The brutal part politically is that food inflation moves slowly.

You can release oil reserves to calm gas prices but you can’t magically grow cows and wheat faster because voters are angry.

For millions of Americans, “the economy” is standing in a grocery store wondering why a normal shopping cart suddenly costs the same as a minor home renovation.”
