A single family home and a yard…. that is a wonderful dream.
Oddly it was reality throughout much of Europe and much of history.
The home might be modest, and the “garden” or yard filled with livestock, but it worked.
Germany has always lagged behind poorer countries like Spain and Italy in the rate of home ownership, in recent decades.
I guess the powers want it that way.
