The area around the Charlie Kirk memorial in Glendale, Arizona, was left littered with trash, but city crews were hired to clean it afterward. The lack of trash cans wasn’t neglect, officials said, but a security measure put in place for the event.
The half-a-million-dollar payment Glendale is owed for providing public services during the Sept. 21 memorial… required services from city police, fire, emergency medical and sanitation workers, who were on hand for security and cleanup.
Cleanup was anticipated and included in the $493K invoice billed to event organizers and venue managers.
