Everyone yelling that he “makes a million a year” clearly didn’t bother reading the disclosure. The form lists business income between $100,001 and $1,000,000, which is how Congress reports ranges, not a guaranteed $1,000,000 salary. Yes, he served about 10 years for drug trafficking and yes the household now owns rental properties worth millions, those facts are real. But pretending the top of a bracket equals a fixed paycheck is just lazy math and louder outrage. If you want to criticize them, fine, just don’t butcher the numbers because it makes the whole argument look dumb.
