Senate Democrats recently voted against a Republican-led bill aimed at banning transgender athletes from participating in women’s sports. The bill, known as the “Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act,” sought to amend Title IX to define sex based solely on reproductive biology and genetics at birth. The vote fell short of the 60 votes needed to advance, with all Democrats voting against it.
