Elon Musk, head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), recently assured the public that there will be no reductions to legitimate Social Security payments. Speaking at a town hall in Wisconsin, Musk emphasized that DOGE’s mission is to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse within federal programs, not to impact rightful beneficiaries. He stated, “DOGE will absolutely ensure that people get their Social Security, Medicaid, and other benefits without any cuts to legitimate payments”
