Clarkson’s cows hit with TB, pregnant one set for slaughter. Sick calf now keeps him up at night.

Jeremy Clarkson’s farm has tested positive for bovine TB. “My farm has gone down with TB,” he posted. “Absolutely devastating.”

“It’s bloody awful … the disruption’s enormous,” he told Times Radio. “You have to lock the place down for 60 days.”

One infected cow was pregnant with twins. Two others are under watch. Clarkson said a sick calf now sleeps beside him in the barn. He also lost a puppy the same week. By law, any cow that fails a TB test must be isolated and then slaughtered, no matter the condition. Cattle movement is frozen for at least 2 months.

His herd is tiny: 9 cows and 1 bull. But the policy applies across the board. In 2024, 21,954 cattle were killed over TB in England. Government payouts topped £100,000,000.

  • Diddly Squat’s shop remains open, but no cow trade allowed

  • Clarkson calls badger vaccinations “not workable” on open ground

  • Weather delays and stolen tools hit the farm same week

  • No verified evidence links the outbreak to any vaccine program
