It sounds like China’s equivalent to our Walmart just closed most of its stores.
It operated via pre-paid cards. So if they close, people get screwed out of what they spent on the cards (vouchers).
Panicking Crowds rush in and strip the markets bare in hours.
all but a couple stores close. China has other large market chains, but this seems to be either their main one, or close to that.
