It has got increasingly smokey as the day progressed, we figured it was a local (Oakley) small fire on the delta but it appears the smoke is coming from the Sacramento area (Excelsior fire) over an hour away.
I just looked at CalFire and damn….

California has been facing wildfires recently. The 2024 California wildfire season has seen a series of wildfires burning throughout the state. As of June 10, 2024, a total of 1,769 wildfires have scorched approximately 41,926 acres. One notable fire is the Post Fire, which started north of Los Angeles and has already consumed over 14,000 acres.

Wildfire burning near Los Angeles explodes to more than 12,250 acres, forcing evacuations
GORMAN, Calif. – A wind-driven wildfire burning north of Los Angeles is creating unhealthy air quality throughout Southern California after exploding in size to more than 12,000 acres within 24 hours.
The Post Fire started Saturday at 1:47 p.m. in Gorman, California, on Gorman Road and continues to burn in Los Angeles County and Ventura County. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Fire departments from Los Angeles and Ventura counties and U.S. Forest Service firefighters are battling the fire, which has destroyed at least two structures so far.
